BLOG 3: The Evolution of Traditional to New Media | Lecture



For our fourth day we tackled the historical background of media and information. Through a PowerPoint presentation we went back in time to observe the technology or resources available during the different ages. It was amazing for me because we started from drawing on cave paintings and humans continued to develop their knowledge which made them invent the things we have today.
 The information age is far more different than any era. It’s exhilarating and petrifying at the same. At the rate we are going, we don’t know what future inventions could do. Everything in media has its own pros and cons depending on how we are going to handle it.
After the discussion we were tasked to classify what format or equipment people used to communicate with each other, to store information and to broadcast information.
